Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor at WCBD TV and was a crime reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach to DUI cases led to an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to state authorities re-issuing an even more strict directive on these situations. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. After her time in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. Then she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has covered such events as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of pre-show arrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
